{"id":809,"date":"2026-01-27T09:38:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T08:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gxb.webs.uvigo.es\/?p=809"},"modified":"2026-10-26T09:39:44","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T08:39:44","slug":"new-isciii-funded-research-project-launched-in-january-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gxb.webs.uvigo.es\/?p=809","title":{"rendered":"New ISCIII-funded research project launched in January 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In January 2026, we launched a new project funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) entitled <em>\u201cA Holistic Study of Inherited Retinal Dystrophies Using Omics, Bioinformatics and AI Technologies for Molecular, Clinical and Demographic Characterisation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This coordinated project brings together research teams from the University of Vigo, Fundaci\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez D\u00edaz (Madrid), and La Fe University Hospital (Valencia), with the participation of Dr Ayuso and Dr Mill\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contribution of the GXB group focuses on understanding the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Alstr\u00f6m syndrome, two rare ciliopathies associated with inherited retinal dystrophies.
