María Mayán received the VIII FERO Grant in Breast Cancer, endowed with 100,000 euros, at the FERO Gala 2026 in Barcelona. The project, “CAR-NK immunotherapy with improved tumor-targeting capabilities”, aims to improve how genetically modified NK cells reach and destroy solid breast tumors. It will be carried out in collaboration with the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital and researchers in Oslo.
