AECC GRANT: MICROBIOME AS BIOMARKER FOR CRC

We want to thank the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC) for awarding us a research grant to study the role of the microbiome (virus and bacteria) as non-invasive biomarkers for the detection of premalignant lesions and colorectal cancer. Anonymous people have donated this money; much gratitude and tons of responsibility.

New Ph.D. fellowships!

Congratulations to Pilar Gallego and Pablo Fonseca for their Xunta de Galicia Ph.D. fellowships! Pilar is already working on SARS-CoV-2 evolution in Galicia, and Pablo is about to start working –together with Monica Martinez at the IISGS– on genomic biomarkers for lung cancer immunotherapy.
