Iria Fernández-Silva has visited the prestigious California Academy of Sciences to deepen her research on genomic hybridization in marine fish. During her stay, she used the institution’s exceptional fish collection, which houses more than 2,000,000 specimens, and visited the CCCG genomics laboratory to see recent infrastructure improvements. This international exchange continues a collaboration that began in 2013 and provides a strong boost to ongoing research lines, contributing key data on the evolution and conservation of ocean biodiversity.
